If mma is so tought, why dont the army and the navy use mma as their fighting style?

we all know that the army or navy or any special forces use chinese or japanese martial art in their system....but in reality or in mma event (ufc or pride or k1 or so on) we never see these chinese or japanese martial art really won anything, so why dont the army and those other special forces chage their fighting style into mma style?or brazilian jujitsu style?

If mma is so tought, why dont the army and the navy use mma as their fighting style?
Why use MMA when you have a gun?
Reply:bullets can run out but MMA is on going and check out some YOUTUBE and see how useful it is for women and men alike. Report It

Reply:Brilliant. You should pitch it to the government.

THEN I'm sure the war would end sooner.
Reply:Hmm... Like you know a shi+ about militaries. They does use MMA. They use lot of BJJ in their styles. However militaries doesn't take martial arts seriously, they doesn't want to play Rambo. They perfer to learn more effective way to use firearms or other weapons so they don't have to get close to the opponent.

BTW Japanese style have won K-1, UFC, and Pride. Many fighters use Kyokushin Karate which is Japan style.
Reply:They do. The US Army uses a system called combatives which teaches soldiers to close with the enemy and incapacitate them. Many techniques are from BJJ, and other popular MMA styles.

Hand to hand combat is not that important in modern militaries. The situation is extremely rare that two soldiers will meet both without weapons. Combatives is tought to soldiers for several reasons: Espirit de Corps, physical preparedness, unit cohesion, and to instill confidence.

Reply:the american army teaches :judo, muay thai, japense ju-jitsu,kung-fu,karate,,boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hapkido, Filipino Kali, Indonesian Silat, Muay Thai Kick Boxing and Taekwondo.all in one martial art called The Universal Combat System (UCS).

the reason why chinese or japanese dont work in mma but work in the army is because mma has rules. mma fighters fight for golry and money so they dont need to kill .chinese or japanese arts were tought not in the ring but on the battle feld more than 2000 years ago. solder fight to live, chinese or japanese art teach you to kill quickly and painfully it wont work in mma because your not aloud to use those techneqis.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A SOILDER FIGHT SOME ONE FOR 15 MIN OR MORE .(AVERGE MMA TIME)
Reply:Simple what may work in the octagon doesn't work too well on a battle field against ARMED enemies. MMA is about a contest a battle field is about combat it's not KO the other guy it's kill or be killed.
Reply:Because in the special forces you don't learn to fight, you learn to kill. MMA contestants don't have to worry about what to do with their opponent- you just let them go. Not the same circumstance for SpecOps. Plus, combat occurs with weapons and explosives. No room for C4 in MMA.
Reply:They do but it's not called MMA. The Marines %26amp; NAVY personnel attached to Marine corps have Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, %26amp; the ARMY has Modern Army Combatives (MAC) program.
Reply:actual they ahve uses MMa stars to triane them example frank shamrock trianed soem mariens the mainr eaosn is its hard to the enemy int he cage withreferee and 3 judges its a sport stuff like kickes and punches and blocks will work for war time
Reply:Bas Rutten has black belts in kyokushin and taekwondo

Guess where the Kimura got its name.

Is Jujitsu even a Brazilian word?

Guess who is considered the father of MMA.

How many fighters did Huo beat with his Missing Fist?

How's Cung doing with that MMA career?

One would think that docs, cops, wraps, gloves, rules, and refs would get in the way of a few techniques.
Reply:The Martial Arts Military use are specificly for Deadly force.

They use breaks and strikes that kill, no mamby pamby homo grabb my a$s, f@g boy stroke my nuts and squeeze um techniques.
