I find his English a lot better in his earlier movies. Did he figure out that he could survive only with his martial arts (and his wide network of Chinese friends) and stop speaking English as best as possible?
Did Jackie Chan just quit trying?

Reply:Jackie is a much larger star in the rest of the world than he is in USA.
That notwithstanding, I do not find his english any worse in more recent movies. I do find that less are dubbed over in post production now.

Reply:jackie chan quit hollywood because he was not happy with the roles he got. he was trying to be taken seriously but the roles he got made him look like a clown. hollywood will always do that to non-americans. yes his english has got a lot better but whats the point? he lost respect from his asian fans because of his american movies, even jet li has gone more european.
hollywood is no place for asians, indians, arabs, europeans and africans.
