Hitting your body?

In many martial arts and in some chinese exercises they promote hitting your body on places such as your kidneys and your heart, how healthy is this for your body? I know that bones grow stronger under stress, is this the same for muscles, and if so is this also true for your organs in some way???

Hitting your body?
yeah youre right that bones grow stronger under stress, however, muscles, especially organs are not the same.

on muscles they might accidentally hit a nerve which might actually damage and can cause a loss of function in a certain type of muscle.. its the same in organs obviously.

as you probably know, boxers and football players are most likely to have parkinsons disease because they took too many hits in their body and their head so their brain cells dies which cannot be regenarated.
Reply:WHAT? That is just crazy...don't do it.
Reply:No
Reply:umm...weird question.
Reply:I think who ever told you that wants you to inflict self damage for thier own enjoyment.
Reply:Acu-pressure is one thing, inflicting a hit is quite another! no, one should'nt try that at all!
